Exexcutive Assistant to the President
Beegee Elder serves as the Childhood Nutrition Program Coordinator for the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. Beegee began working at the Food Bank in the spring of 2014. Previously, Beegee was an English teacher, school counselor, and gifted program coordinator for the Clarke County School District. She also served as a Physical Fitness instructor for the Governor’s Honors Program for 4 years. Her passion is service to others and more directly service to children. Beegee has a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in English as well as a Specialist Degree and hours towards a PhD in Counseling and Human Development from The University of Georgia. She has completed 15 full marathons and has also completed a 40 mile ultrathon. She has used her running to raise money for cancer research including a 35 mile run and a 45 mile run to raise over a thousand dollars for Relay For Life. She enjoys making pottery, painting, reading, and playing her flute. She is passionate about her service to her church and has served as Eucharistic Minister, Nursery caretaker, and Sunday School assistant. She has three children, Quinn (11), Isaiah (8), and London (6).
