Will Rock 4 Food Raises Money to Support 100 Students

The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia raised $26,000 during its Will Rock 4 Food fundraiser held in April at Terrapin Brewery, enough to provide meals to 100 children from food insecure households on weekends during the 2015-2016 school year. A national grant will enable two nonprofit agencies to feed children from low-income areas all summer. The Food Bank can now provide food to children from food insecure homes all year round thanks to a Hunger-Free Summer Grant through Feeding America’s Member Grants program in conjunction with the ConAgra Foundation. The Georgia Club Foundation will present its ninth annual Front Porch Foot Race benefitting the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia May 16 at The Georgia Club located at 1050 Chancellors Drive in Statham.
