Road Kill Cafe
The Best Grillin' Event of the Summer!
The 6th annual
Road Kill Café took place on Sunday June 24, 2007 from 5:30 to 7:30
at Southeast Clarke Park in Athens. Because of the family centered
nature of the event, this was the first year that the Road Kill Café
was held at this venue and it worked wonderfully. With the introduction
of the family pass, and despite the almost 100 degree temperature and
blazing sunshine, the event drew out over 400 individuals, families,
and children who wanted to support the Food Bank. It is
only with the support of these individuals that the Food Bank can continue
our outreach. Their generous financial support, as well as the increase
in awareness about the issue of hunger, truly makes the event worthwhile.
