The History of the Empty Bowl Concept
Empty Bowl Luncheons are held by Food Banks across the country. Designed to raise awareness about the problem of hunger in our nation and as well as in our local communities, these luncheons typically offer a simple fare of soup and sandwiches and often feature the work of local artists who have donated works themed around the Empty Bowl Concept.
We Need You!
If you are an local artist, please consider donating a bowl (ceramic, wooden, metal, painting of..., etc.) for our Empty Bowl Auction. We will provide you with a receipt for your donation and, if you choose, we will pay you a portion of the proceeds of your auctioned item. Thank you for your support.
