The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia will work toward ending hunger as part of an overall community effort to alleviate poverty.

Charlie & Jessica Ostick “Stock the Pantry”

A small, but important program named in honor of Charlie & Jessica Ostick, this program provides the food that new Habitat for Humanity homeowners first stock their pantry with.

Knowing that the purchase of a new home can be a very stressful time, the Food Bank aims to reduce this stress by allowing recipients of a new Habitat for Humanity home access to our shopping floor. The food, distributed free of charge, alleviates the burden of a grocery bill the first month the homeowner is in their new home.

Charlie Ostick, a longtime community volunteer, was known as the go-to guy for local charities including Habitat for Humanity, and the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia.
